Make plans to attend May Day festivities beginning with the Lower School art show in the Student Center and continuing with music from all grade levels in the Walters Athletic Center (WAC) at 11 a.m. The recipients of the Beth Grindle Teaching Award will be announced.
May Day is a half day — classes dismiss immediately after the program.

College acceptances and scholarship offers for the class of 2023 continue to come in from schools across the nation including Georgia Tech, New York University, UCLA, University of Florida, University of Georgia, Wake Forest, and Washington & Lee University. The final list of acceptances and total scholarship amount will be announced later in May.

Governor's Honors
Lakeview has had a student selected for the prestigious and highly competitive Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) every year since 2012, with the exception of two years. This year’s awardee is Valor Lekas, ’24, who was chosen for GHP in communication arts. Congratulations!

The Hall County Environmental Health Department recently inspected the cafeteria and gave it a grade of 100. |
Track & Field Region Champs!
Emmie Finley won the region shot put championship and placed 2nd in the discus. Tristan Buffington was the region champion in the long jump. Three other athletes qualified for state by placing in the region meet: Emilia Horton (2nd place 100m hurdles), DJ Whitcomb (who placed 3rd in shot put and broke the school record and also qualified for state in the Discus), and Annie Nivens (3rd place long jump).

Clay Target Information Meeting
The clay target team is open to male and female students in grades 8-12. A meeting for returning and interested participants will be Thursday, May 4 at 4 pm in the Bagwell. Interested students should attend with a parent. |
