Lakeview Wins Region Literary!
The literary team placed in every event at the GISA Region 4-AAA competition earning Lakeview another region championship! Literary is a competition for writing, public speaking, acting, and singing. Previously Lakeview competed in GHSA Region 6A and won the region championship 17 times since 2002. Congratulations on a great start in a new region and good luck at the state competition on March 21 at Gordon College in Barnesville.

Rotary Student of the Month

Lakeview Academy 5th grader MJ Robertson was recognized as one of three Rotary Students of the Month by the Rotary Club of Gainesville. The program recognizes students from area schools who are a positive representative of his or her school in academic achievement, citizenship, and school/community involvement.

Lakeview Wins Valhalla Golf Cup
Lakeview's varsity golf team opened the season by winning the Valhalla Cup hosted by East Hall at Chimney Oaks Golf Club. In winning the event, the Lions bettered 13 other teams including Cherokee Bluff (2nd Place), Madison County (3rd Place), and North Hall (4th Place). This is the second time in three years the golf team has won the tournament. In addition, Chandler Lovell and Carter Kontur were named to the All-Tournament Team. Read more details. |
Thrilling Season Comes to a Close
Resilience and grit! In the Final Four state playoffs the Lady Lions battled back from a 24-point deficit to narrow Deerfield Windsor's win to only eight points. Their season ended, but it was one to remember! The girls' basketball team was the region champion and this was their third appearance in the Final Four. Congratulations on an incredible season!! |

Submit Your Child's Artwork by March 11
The annual Youth Art Month is an exhibition for kindergarten through 12th grade students sponsored by the Quinlan Visual Arts Center, the Kiwanis Club of Gainesville, and Brenau University. Students will compete for honors and college scholarships.

How to Teach Kids Forgiveness
Young kids can learn and develop the building blocks of forgiveness as they get older. After learning forgiveness, some children even perform better at school, have fewer conduct problems and delinquency, and feel more positive about their parents and teachers.
