How to Access the Online Family Directory

Directory

Find other members of the school community under Directories.

From any page on the Lakeview website, www.lakeviewacademy.com, click the orange LOGIN link. If you have forgotten your user name or password, refer to that tutorial in this issue.

In the light blue navigation bar, hover over “Directories."

There are currently five separate directories listed in the drop down menu (depending upon your role, you may not see them all):

All School
Alumni
Faculty and Staff
Parent
Student

Plus, you have the option of viewing "My Contacts." My Contacts allows you to create your own virtual address book. From the directory search results, you can select Options and then + Add to Contacts button to add a user.

Click on the directory you wish to search.

How do I find someone in the Directory?

To find an individual, simply type all or part of that person’s name in the search box. Everyone in the directory with that name (either first or last) will appear below the search box.

Clicking the "Show additional Information button" displays additional, publishable information about the individual including profile information for those related to them (e.g., the parent(s) of a given student).

Clicking the "Options" button allows you to add the individual to a list of your frequent contacts.

How do I use the filters on the right side of the Directory?

Simply click to place a check mark next to the filter options you wish to use, (e.g., grade 11), and all members of that group will show. Click on the “Show More” box if you don’t see the filter option you need. You may also use multiple filters (e.g., students in grade 9 who live in Gainesville or whose teacher is Mrs. Doe).

Other Views: Map- Great for Finding Carpool Buddies

The Directory can be displayed as a list, grid or map and can be printed. When the Map icon is clicked, a map will display illustrating the address locations in that directory. Zoom in for more detail and/or use the filters to find individuals in specific cities, Zip Codes, etc.

The map is a great tool for locating carpool buddies and potential playdates!

Can I print the Directory, or a part of the Directory?

Yes. Simply click on the “Print” button under the “Find” box.

Several different print options will appear:

Print Entire Directory

Provides an alphabetical listing of all individuals in that (student, parent, alumni, faculty, etc. entire directory.

Full Family Style Directory

Provides a listing by student name, with parent information, as well as cross listings for

parent(s) with names that are not the same as their student(s).

Print Search Results

Provides a pdf with the grouping for which you searched (e.g., all students in Grade 6 or all

students in grade 9 who live in Gainesville)

Please Note:

The Directory files are large and will take several minutes to load for printing. Please be patient.
The Directory is updated every evening; a print document is static so once you print it, it will not necessarily contain the most recent information available.

May I share the information I find in the Directory?

The directory is provided for the convenience of Lakeview Academy students, faculty and staff, and their families and is to be used exclusively by members of the LA community for school-related purposes only. Commercial, promotional, or political uses, whether by members of the Academy community or those outside it, are unacceptable.
