From any page on the Lakeview website,
www.lakeviewacademy.com,
click the orange LOGIN link and login. If you have forgotten your user name or password, refer to that tutorial in this issue.
For parents, the default starting page will open, the Resouce Board.
The top, blue bar is the universal navigation bar. Regardless of which personae you use, this bar remains the same.
Click your child's name on the top, left side. If you have more than one child, hover over the word "Children" until the resulting drop-down menu lists your children. Click on one. The Progress tab for that child will open.
Progress Tab
Below is a screenshot of the Progress tab for a student. The information displayed for you may differ based upon your child's school level. On the Progress tab, you will find an overview and information about your child's current associations including classes, teams and advisories. Get more details by clicking on the title. After this school year year, you will be able to view previous year's information from this screen as well.
Grades - Method 1
While on the Progress tab, click the "See grade detail" button for each class.
Teacher Webpages
Click on the class title (in blue) to go to the class's Bulletin Board. On this page, the teacher may include information, upcoming events, photos, etc. (screenshot below).
Teachers will also post class links and downloads such as homework assignments, snow day assignments, and learning resources on their Topics page. Click the Topics tab to go to that page.
The screenshot above is an example of a teacher's Topics Tab. By clicking the blue links, you can access various resources and downloads.
Assignments - Method 1
By clicking the Assignments tab for each class, parents can view past, present and future assignments. You can choose your view between Assignment Types or Sortable Order. Further, you can filter the assignments (as shown in the screenshot below as the column on the right of the page).
Clicking the blue link for an assignment will open up a detail page with more information regarding the assignment including the grade (if given). [Method #2 for accessing grades]
Schedule
Going back to your child's Progress tab, you can access his Schedule tab. Schedules can be viewed by date or you can view the full schedule. Plus, you can click on the class link to go to its Bulletin Board, etc.
Assignments - Method 2
From your child's Progress tab, you can view past, current, and upcoming assignments by clicking the Assignments tab. Click on the title for more details. You can also generate assignment reports.
